I've been invited to talk about Arthur Russell at Plan B's inaugural annual lecture -- or something like that -- on Friday 21 November. I suggested it would be good if I spoke after a screening of Wild Combination, the Arthur Russell movie directed by Matt Wolf, so that's what's going to happen. I was involved in a similar CCCR-sponsored event at UEL, where I spoke alongside my friend and colleague Jeremy Gilbert. That followed the rather nice Q&A I staged with Matt at the screening of Wild Combination at the ICA in September. The Plan B event will hopefully bring together the enthusiasts who attended the ICA screening with the critical context developed at the CCCR event.
